AEM adjusts summer and fall conferences, seminars and events

As the COVID-19 pandemic emerged, AEM quickly responded by shifting many of its committee meetings, conferences and events to virtual to continue to offer these programs to the association’s members. While the circumstances surrounding the pandemic’s impact continues to evolve with time, the AEM staff continues to work hard to ensure members still have opportunities to learn, engage and connect with experts and each other.

“The health and safety of our members and our staff has been our top focus as we’ve made adjustments to our upcoming meetings, events and conference to include virtual participation,” said AEM President Dennis Slater. “We’re making modifications to offer our events in a virtual format to ensure safety while offering in-person gatherings as options for some of our events and meetings. We’re keeping a close eye on how the COVID-19 pandemic evolves and how businesses are starting to gather and open up.”

The AEM Health & Safety Task Force has been hard at work to develop guidelines for when AEM meetings, conferences and trade shows are offered in-person. These guidelines will be shared with the membership and all event attendees and partners prior to any in-person gatherings. The guidelines will take into account all federal and state recommendations based on event locations. Look for this details information on our website and via the AEM Industry Advisor.
